The Colt 1911 Series 1991 is based off of the original M1911 that has become a front runner in history. You have a long trigger and flat mainspring housing but keeps the original recoil spring from the original design. Small upgrades like the white dot sights and lowered ejection for make for added reliability. Colt has always maintained the classic standard of all designs today but better to have the creator!
