First off, for the money it’s excellent value and very well built, I haven’t shot it yet but I expect no problems. Delivery did take two weeks, but I’ll put that down to the Canada Post slow down/work to rule or whatever. Surprised it came with a hardshell case, nice bonus. During transit the barrel had moved and chewed up the foam packaging a little and the fore end was not in it’s slot but luckily no damage was done. Maybe a few FRAGILE signs on the packaging might stop it being thrown around. The 5 chokes are also a nice bonus.
There was no manual with it, but I downloaded one from the the TriStar website. According to the manual, it comes with two Allen keys, which were missing and and I have an odd number of spacers for the recoil pad and a small screw and a washer which I have no idea what they are for? The spacers I was supplied with are 2×1″, 3×1/2” and 1×1/4”.
If it busts clays as good as it looks I think I’ll be very happy.

I’ve finally got round to shooting the K500 and I must it’s everything I could ask for. Even shot with another guy who had the same gun and we both agreed it is excellent value for money. I’m beginning to ask myself do I actually need a more expensive trap gun. I think we will see more of these at the range. By the way it was my first go at trap and I was shooting around 12-15 per round, and that’s not the guns fault I couldn’t hit more clays. Maybe I try the pattern board next time. I did adjust it to fit me but I have no idea of the POI. Bottom line, straight out of the box and loads of fun.
