APEX S&W M&P Aluminum Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit

Description

What It Does
Dropping this kit into your Smith & Wesson M&P will set the trigger break point farther forward than the factory trigger assembly, as well as significantly reduce the uptake and over travel. It produces a trigger pull very similar to that of a 1911 but in a polymer frame striker-fired pistol. The Forward Set Trigger body is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and black hard anodized to last a lifetime. The smooth faced trigger comes assembled with a center pivoting safety. The Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit boasts a smooth trigger pull throughout the break. The kit comes with two (2) trigger return springs; one designed to produce approximately a 4.0 lbs trigger pull (silver spring), and one to produce a 5.0 lbs trigger pull (green spring). These two options give the end user the ability to customize their trigger pull for their specific needs.

Applicable To What Gun(s)
Works with all Smith & Wesson M&P Pistols in all centerfire calibers and configurations. Requires the use of the sear housing block designed for the large size sear plunger and spring (current production as of June, 2011). Does NOT function in the M&P Shield, BodyGuard, 22 or 22 Compact pistols.

Notes
This particular product usually requires a slight modification to the trigger bar loop for proper function. Please see the Trigger Bar Loop Adjustment video on how to tune the trigger bar.

*This kit REQUIRES the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring and plunger set up. If your M&P has a 1/16th inch diameter sear plunger and spring, we strongly advise you upgrade to a new style sear housing block before installing this product. All function and reliability testing was done with a 1/8 inch sear plunger and spring, therefore we cannot guarantee proper function without the appropriate size sear plunger and spring. Modern sear housing blocks can be found on Brownells.com and other online firearms product retailers.
