Guns are a popular item to collect; there are so many different kinds out there to choose from, but what about if you want the world’s smallest gun? Any idea what it is? The world’s smallest gun was created by a 69 year old Swiss artist named Paul Erard in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The gun costs £300,00 ($58591 Cdn.) to make and is currently being sold for £4,500 ($8788) for the solid gold model.
The firearm measures a tiny two inches long which is shorter than a matchstick and weighs in at 0.6 ounces. The tiny gun is actually a functioning revolver, which uses bullets that are 2.34mm in diameter. That is one tiny bullet, I am not sure how much damage or protection that would offer but at least you could be the proud owner of the world’s smallest gun. The gun fores with one joule of power according to Mr. Erard. This is a tenth of the power which an air rifle fires with.
When you place your order be sure you have all the necessary gun and export licenses in order to take it home with you. The gun is still considered a weapon under the Canadian laws. Each tiny gun takes about three months to produce, so you have time to get all the necessary permits and paperwork done before it’s time to claim your new gun.
